Madhu Suryadevara, MD, is a double board certified Physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Assistant Program Director of Infectious Disease for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Madhu graduated from Stony Brook University and AUA College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at LSU University Hospital and Clinics where he was Internal Medicine Chief Resident. After his residency, he was a practicing hospitalist for 4 years. He chose to go back for training and completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he served as an Infectious Disease Chief Fellow.
His primary areas of interest and expertise are Heart & Lung Transplant Infections, Sepsis and Septic Shock, Bacterial Infections, Fungal Infections, HIV/AIDS and Opportunistic Infections, Antiretroviral Medications, PrEP for HIV, COVID-19 and its mutational variants, Respiratory Viruses, Meningitis-Encephalitis, Infective Endocarditis, Cardiac Implanted Device Infections, Osteomyelitis, Epstein Barr Virus, Cytomegalovirus, Hepatitis B & C Viruses, Syphilis, Tuberculosis and Non-TB-Mycobacterial Infections, C. Difficile Infections, Travel Trip Vaccinations, Malaria, Tele-Health, Public Health.
