What is a USCIS Medical Examination?

A USCIS medical examination, also known as a “medical exam for immigration,” is a mandatory requirement for individuals applying for immigration benefits or those looking to become a permanent resident (green card holder) in the United States. The purpose of this examination is to ensure applicants do not have a health condition or communicable diseaseย  that could pose a public health risk to the U.S. population.

Once your immigration medical examย is performed by one of our certified doctors, the results are then relayed to USCIS through form i-693 and you are informed of any serious medical concerns revealed in the test. In some cases, you may be asked to complete a return visit if test results are inconclusive or further testing is mandated.
