Is this weight loss program covered by insurance?
Weight loss medications have varying coverage with private/commercial insurances. Some plans cover it completely, others partially, and others do not cover it at all. If you have state approved medicaid, you will not have access to weight loss medications as this is not part of health coverage.
Could a health problem be affecting my weight?
Weight gain can be a sign of an underlying physical or mental health condition. Hormones play a key part in regulating not only metabolism, but also mood, energy, stress, and sleep. All these are critical components to weight gain, in addition to genetics, poor diet, current medication side effects, and lack of exercise. We will determine if an underlying medical problem or medication side effect is the cause of your weight gain and treat it accordingly.
If I want the Semaglutide injections will you write a prescription?
Yes. Our health care providers will determine your BMI and based on current guidelines can prescribe semaglutide for weight loss. Most insurance companies will require a prior authorization to determine medical necessity of the medication, our office staff will work with your insurance in getting the medication approved for you if weight loss is a covered benefit in your health plan.
